Epic Days

Some days I am practically in tears after a full day of battling with the weather.  I wake up excited to spend the day making videos for next week’s class; full of plans, scripts, plenty of props, and several costume changes.

But the best videos are the ones shot outside in bright light.  So every time there is a sunbreak, I run outside to the picnic bench with all of my stuff flying everywhere in the gusty wind.

It rains, it hails, the sun comes out but it is still raining.  And this repeats every few minutes all day.  By 6 p.m. I can be undone with only a handful of short videos; but then out comes the rainbows.

And I realize that I just got to spend a whole day outside with chirping birds, green grass, and dramatic vistas.  And a bit of hail.  A pretty wonderful day after all.
