There are piles of packages arriving, I’m getting to really know our mailman (from a safe distance).  

Although we have wonderful models and posters at school, there are some things we want to share in an online lab environment that we don’t already have.  This is the perfect opportunity to talk about using inexpensive toys and gadgets in our small home spaces to create authentic learning environments.  Can you learn anatomy without gummi bears?  Sure, but why?

This is learning where you will actually use the information; in kitchens, bathrooms, and our yards and parks if we have them.  Using the things we have on hand or can purchase inexpensively and give as gifts to pass on knowledge to someone else.  This is the real-world learning we dream of.

Plus this is a wonderful excuse to add “unpacking videos” to the course.
