Here We Go!

With remote learning we had two possibilities: offer a synchronous course using Zoom with our regular lectures and labs at scheduled times, or develop a new non-synchronous course students could complete at their own pace.  We had to choose the latter for several reasons, the biggest being our concern that students may be busy working, taking care of family, and/or assisting in the community, and may need flexible course timing.  Plus we can’t imagine a whole day of Zoom classes back-to-back.  We’ll use our scheduled class times as virtual “Live Teacher” office hours to touch bases with everyone.

So we need a whole new course suited for online learning.  Something really engaging, both educational and entertaining enough to hold attention during challenging times.  We are already shooting a variety of videos to edit, caption, and post on web pages here on this new website.
