Feeding the Deer

Each year we have a few deer that stay with us over the summer, and often one or two fawns appear around June.  This year, two of the older females look large, and we’ve decided to plant a large area with forage in case fawns appear.  The seed blend includes grasses and legumes, it looks like a high-quality soup mix!  We are scattering the seeds over tilled soil and watering for the next several weeks as temperatures rise.
