Public health incorporates basic practices and processes to prevent, diagnose, and treat human disease.
We rely on our public health system to provide services that improve life quality and length. Some of the services are apparent, like access to clean municipal drinking water. Other services are subtle, like providing curricula on hygiene to elementary classrooms.
This video introduces some of the important foundations of public health.
We still have a few models left :). These are perfect for describing the significance of public health and the role of social cooperation.
You may have experienced courses that do not get through all of the content by the end, but this is not one of them. Not only have we covered all of the content we typically have on campus, we have added a bit more with COVID-19.
